Week three

– I’m so pissed that Shannen went home. Kate should have gone the hell home
– Who’s the third girl in the pro dance? There’s Jon, Anna D, Lacey, Dmity, Val M.
Evan and Anna T.
– Good frame
– Needs to point his toes still
– Great Charleston
– That was cute
– Len: Showed a story and cheered up Len but has to work on his feet
– Bruno: says he played a good story, point the toes and keep his bum underneath him
– Carrie Anne: says it had great energy and did very well
Score: 9, 8, 9=26

Buzz and Ashly
– His posture is terrible
– You can see him counting in his head
– His footwork is bad…
– Not a whole lot but the basic steps
– Bruno: Says it was royal and dignified but when he started to move it didn’t go anywhere. Looked regally
– Carrie Ann: Says she believed the story which is what this week about.
– Len: had an innocent charm about it and liked that but the routine was over-simplified. As a dance it wasn’t that fantastic
Score: 5, 4, 4 = 13 right where it should be

Jake and Chelsie
– Seriously what is with the stars this season?
– Not sure I like this theme
– A little slow for a quickstep
– Good acting
– Decent posture but his shoulders kind of creep up and down a little bit
– Not enough Charleston
– Interesting ending…
– Carrie Ann: really nice storytelling but keeping in mind with the dance. But you make it harder to be good… Legs were a bit soft
– Len: Has to straighten up the legs to get lightness. Production was good, dancing was a little slack. Over all good though
– Bruno: Loved the story. Lost a little precision,
Score: 7, 7, 7= 21 Good scores

Nicey and Louis
– Not as much glaring storytelling
– She’s struggling a bit
– Nice outside helicopter turn
– She tried really hard!
– Len: needs to work on the technique
– Bruno: stumbled a little and storytelling was great
– Carrie Ann: didn’t understand the ending, but thought the story is important tell
Score: 7, 7, 7 = 21

Chad and Cheryl
– I love Cheryl’s dress
– His Spanish lines aren’t as sharp
– His movements overall aren’t as sharp as her’s
– His posture is better this week
– Love the ending though
– Bruno: the power, presence, and determination is back but be careful, losing the lines a bit
– Carrie Ann: work on your posture
– Len: work on your posture but other than that, it was good
Score: 7, 6, 7 = 20

Pam and Damian
– Whops missed that just slightly
– So not a paso song 
– Totally missed the flamenco. He got it but she didn’t
– Needs to point her feet when she walks forward
– Good dance overall though!
– Judges thought it was good but there were mistakes made. Over all good
Score: 7, 7, 7 =21

Aidan and Edyta
– This is a quickstep? Seems kind of slow
– His posture is better
– A little far apart in his hold/frame
– Very nice turn
– Len: It felt a little bit careful; wants Aiden to let it go
– Bruno: Thought he looked much happier than last week. Looked a bit skippy. Better posture an confidence
– Carrie Ann: A little too light, bubbily but saw improvement
Score: 7, 6, 7 = 20

Erin and Maks
– This is great teaching tool! I’ve used this!
– The blindfold is a little waste of time
– Good frame
– Needs to point her toes. Maks please stick her in a ballet class
– Kind of a lame ending but ok.
– Bruno: Her hold was good, Has to finish the movement
– Carrie Ann: great storytelling. Great use of prop. Needs to loosen hold
– Len: It was the most boring start he’d ever seen. Too long in the beginning. More dancing
Score: 8, 7, 8 = 23

Kate and Tony
– I’m so annoyed that she’s still here!
– She still looks dead
– The movements are dead and lack aggression
– It’s really slow and it’s lacking the fight that a Paso needs
– Carrie Ann: that was odd, glad she was able to channel. But it was honestly it was odd and no passion. Very disjointed
– Len: Got through the dance and has over-come nerves. No dancing… just walking around
– Bruno: The character didn’t translate. Looked like it was only walking around
Score: 5, 5, 5 = 15. It was worse than that…

Nicole and Derek
– At least they got the costume’s right
– And they got a tempo that’s correct
– Great Charleston
– Decent frame
– A little missed on those turns
– Frame is kind of far apart
– Len: Took the title too literally. Didn’t get quickstep, there was a lift, missed holds
– Bruno: as a performance it was good but not a good as a Ballroom dance
– Carrie Ann: Lift, broke hold, so rules broken but performance was good
Score: 8, 6, 9 = 23
