–          I didn’t know they named the judges

–          Judge number 4 has some fans in the audience

–          Ok here we go first group!

–          Denny/Barret 15, Mark and Amanda 17, Dube/Davidson skate last

Skating to Lai Lai Lai by Thompson and coached by Rocky Marvel!?

–          Very pretty Spanish guitar music. I like it!

–          Okay death spiral…

–          Very nice SBS jumps

–          A little off in their synchro on their spins…

–          Nice entrance into their split twist

–          Fell on the throw L

–          Nice lift, unique variation

–          Love this music

–          Good speed going into their footwork sequence

–          Slowing a little

–          Slow ending spin sequence

–          Good job for being the first ones out!

Score:  40.36, new Season’s Best! Congrats

Montalbano/Krasnopolski representing Israel
Music: Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon

–          Landed the throw but very low

–          Nice split twist

–          Here go SBS, she stepped out of hers

–          Nice press lift into a star lift

–          She needs to stretch her leg out more in her spins. Leg looks very awkward

–          Nice speed through their footwork, though could use a little more

–          Her position on her death spiral was not pretty

–          Good speed in their final spin but looks like she tripped in the middle of that!

Score:  32.02 new Season’s best too! Congrats! Puts them into second

Sunyoto-Yang/Sulindro-Yang representing Chinese Taipei

Skating to Howard Blake’s “The Snowman

–          I love their costumes!

–          First up SBS, she fell on hers

–          Very high split twist! But watching in reply, not a clean landing

–          Unique entrance into their throw but she put her free foot down

–          Nice and low death spiral!

–          Off on their side by side spins

–          Slow footwork section but it fits with the music

–          Nice press to star lift!

Score:  41.28 currently in first place

Sulej/Chruscinski representing Poland
skating to “Scent of a Women” by Thomas Newman (awesome song!)

–          She stepped out on her SBS jump

–          Good clean twist

–          Very nice throw!

–          Not the costumes I would have chosen for this music and this is not “Scent of a Women”…. This is a group of tango songs, one of them Por Una Cabeza…

–          Nice star lift

–          Not a hugely low death spiral

–          Nice speed in the footwork but so not in line the nature of the music, slowing down a little towards the end of the footwork

–          Only one major mistake though

Score:  48.14 puts them into first place

Hausch/Wende representing Germany
Skating to: Black Machine, Move the band

–          Interesting music

–          Nice Salsa

–          Landed SBS but not so carefully

–          Good split twist

–          She fell on the throw, looked a bit dizzy getting up

–          Nice entrance into the press lift and great control on the exit

–          Good twizzels!

–          Could use just a tad more speed in the footwork sequence but it works

–          Good synchro on their sbs spins

–          Ohh no! now a little out of synch

–          Love the spread eagle, good position on the death spiral

–          Would like to see more speed on this final spin

–          Love their coache’s glasses!

Score:  49.74 which puts them into first place

Skating to: Caos Calmo

–          Johnny!!! Hello John Zimmerman!

–          Good speed into sbs and landed cleanly!

–          Nice throw!

–          Good split twist

–          Good press lift

–          Excellent speed in this pair spin

–          Some great positions too

–          Mostly on point with the synchro!

–          Good speed in the footwork section

–          Got the crowd clapping

–          Ohhh slowing down a little at the end..

–          Excellent!! Good program!

Score: 54.58 which puts them into first place

Bakirova/Kamianchuk representing Belarus

Skating to: Polynesian dances

–          Those are some… um.. interesting costumes

–          Ok Split twist, may be not as clean

–          Good sbs, cleanly landed

–          Good throw but she put her hand down

–          Good clean lift

–          Off on their synchro sbs spins

–          Slow footwork section

–          Ok position on the death spiral

–          Good speed on the final spin but finished late

Score: 41.44 new Season best and currently in 4th place

Ivanaova/Zalevski representing Bulgaria

Skating to: Nyah by Hans Zimmer

–          She stepped out on the sbs jumps

–          Nice step sequence in to that good split twist

–          Ok throw, a little wild on the landing but clean landing

–          Nice to see a double stag press lift!

–          A little off on their sbs spins and a little far apart

–          Good speed through this footwork sequence

–          Not terribly low on the death spiral

–          A little late finishing

Score:  36.84 which puts them into 7th place

–  The Italians lead followed by the Germans and Poles

Bazarova/Larionov representing Russia
Skating to: “Sadness”

–          Good speed but not a whole lot of synchro on the sbs jumps

–          Very high split twist!

–          Cleanly landed throw

–          Okay spiral, not particularly low

–          Good synchro on the sbs spins

–          Speed in the footwork sequence fits the music and perfect speed

–          Decent program!

Score:  59.78 a new season’s best and moves them into first. Now I didn’t think their program was as good as the Italians L

Kostenko/Talan representing Ukraine

Skating to: Carmen (Modern arrangement)

–          Interesting music of Carmen… it almost sounds like David Garrett

–          She two-footed her sbs jump

–          Nice double split twist

–          A little wobbly on that landing on the throw

–           Would like to see a little more speed

–          Good synchro on their side by side spins

–          A little slow in the footwork sequence

–          Not all the low in her death spiral

–          Good speed in the final spin

–          Don’t like the ending all though

Score: 39, 18 which moves them into 8th place

Cermanova/Hanulak representing Slovakia

Skating to: tango (Adams Family Soundtrack)

–          This music should be entertaining

–          She’s cute!

–          Good position in the death spiral

–          Good speed

–          She stepped out on the side by sides

–          Good split twist

–          Shaky landing on that throw

–          Very off on their synchro sbs spins

–          Could use a little more speed

–          Goof there, not quite sure what happened

–          He looks a little lost there

–           Decent speed in the footwork section but it looks like that hugely off in term sof tempo

Score: 35.18 a new season’s best for them which puts them in 10th

Sergejeva/Glebov representing Estonia

Skating to: Legend of 1900 by Maconie

–          First element is a nice double split twist

–          Good throw! Landed cleanly too

–          A little off synchro on the sbs jumps

–          Good spiral

–          Decent speed in the first pair spin

–          Great musicality timing with that lift!

–          Completely off synch in their sbs spins

–          Good footwork sequence with lots of changes of edges

–          He doesn’t look totally thrilled with that program

Score: 41.94 which puts them into 5th place

Russia, followed by Italy and German lead the top of the pack

James/Bonheu representing France

Skating to: Tango by Gotan project

–          Love the music already J though they had to edit this a lot!

–          Good speed and good sbs jumps!

–          Nice high split twist though landing wasn’t as clean as others

–          Good double throw

–          Good synchro on the side by side spins

–          Could use a tad more speed

–          Love the entrance into that lift!

–          Not a fan of her position in that spiral

–          Good speed in this footwork sequence

–          A little slow on this final spin

Score:  55.60 a new season’s best for them. This puts them into 2nd

Morand/Dorsaz representing Switzerland

Skating to: Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen

–          Good speed already

–          Good throw, very high

–          Like the entrance into that press lift

–          Nice split twist

–          Good sbs jumps, a little awkward on his though

–          A mix of good and bad moments in sbs spins

–          Good speed in that pair turn!

–          Very interesting footwork sequence

–          Like his entrance into the death spiral.

Score:  53.70, a new season’s best and puts them into 4th place

–          Good speed

–          Nice split twist

–          Good and solid sbs jumps

–          A little wonky in the air but clean and solid throw

–          Not a fan of her position in the death spiral

–          Good speed in the sbs spins!

–          Good synchro too!

–          A little slow at the end of the footwork sequence

–          Good speed however going into final spin

Score: 60.52, new season’s best and moves them into 1st!

–          Nice split twist

–          Doubled his sbs jump

–          Didn’t cleanly throw triple loop

–          Nice death spiral

–          Good synchro on their sbs spins

–          But off at the end

–          Not enough speed in this footwork sequence

–          Low speed  coming into this final spin

Score: 43.08 which puts them in 8th

Evora/Ladwig representing US

Skating to: Love Actually

–          Good speed starting out

–          Nice and high split triple twist

–          Good sbs, a little wonky on Mark’s part though

–          Great spread eagle to throw triple loop

–          Great synchro on their sbs spin

–          Overall having great speed

–          Good speed in their final spin set

Score:  57.74, new Season Best! Puts them into 3rd

Skating to: Fascination

–          Love the color of her dress

–          Nice sbs triple toe loops but maybe two footed?

–          A little shaky on that split twist

–          And a fall on the throw lutz

–          Good sbs spins

–          Final spin a little slow

–          Oh I wonder if they’ll incur a deduction for ending after the music.

Score: 54.40 which puts them into 6th

Skating to: send in the clowns

–          Very nice triple flip throw!

–          Nice sbs jumps but he doubled a jump

–          Good speed!

–          Very nice split twist!

–          Good synchro on their sbs spins

–          Love the entrance into that deal spiral…

–          Good speed through this footwork

–          Love the entrance into the press lift

–          Good program but Peter is right, they just didn’t sell it

–          Very very slow in this footwork sequence

–          I absolutely adore this song!

–          Good height on that split triple twist

–          Good throw triple loop, slightly shaky on the landing

–          Good speed across the ice

–          Good synchro but not great positions

–          A little slow in the footwork sequence

Score: 69.20 which is a new Season’s best and puts them into second place

–          So elegant

–          Good sbs jumps but he two-footed it

–          Just a slight collision on that split twist

–          Nice throw but very very low landing

–          Nice variation

–          Good speed in this footwork

–          Good sbs spins

–          Losing speed in that final spin

–          Nice triple twist

–          Good sbs triple toe lops but Maks may have two footed his…

–          Good throw!

–          Kind of slowing down in that spiral

–          Good synchro in those sbs spins

–          This program is not drawing me in…

–          Good speed in that footwork though

–          Very interesting positions in that final spin

–          Beautiful costumes

–          Good speed

–          A little late for him in those sbs jumps

–          Good and high split triple twist

–          Very nice throw triple loop!

–          Really like the entrance into that lift

–          Very good speed in this footwork sequence

–          This final spin though is a little slow

Score:  75.28… wow new Season and Personal Best and puts them into 1st

Dube/Davidson representing Canada

Skating to: Requiem for a Dream

–          She fell on the sbs jump L

–          Messy split triple twist

–          Slow into this spin

–          Landed the throw but kind of shaky

–          Again, kind of slow into this footwork

–          They seem to lack passion for this skate…

–          Not their best progam
